The Gemstone Mining Experience
The screen in the bottom of the box allows the dirt to wash away while it holds the gemstones and minerals in the box for you to collect. Remember, your admission includes one of our 3lb bags of gemstone mining rough. You are more than welcome to purchase additional bags of any size or variety.

Included with your
Miner Max admission is our Gemstone Mining Experience. After you have completed
the Miner Max Maze, you can sluice mining rough to uncover your own gemstones.
When you do, you get to keep the gemstones you find!
Mining Rough is the raw
dirt and rock particles dig from the mine. We have it bagged in 3lb or 5lb bags.
From the outside, the mining rough doesn’t look like much more than a bag of
dirt, but we know there are gemstones hidden inside.
You take your bag of
mining rough to our sluice. Our sluice is a water tower and trough that holds
running water. You’ll slowly empty your bag in to one of our screen bottom
boxes, then swish the box in the running water. This swishing is called
sluicing!

Gemstones, Emerald-Rich Minerals, Fossils, and even Arrowheads!
